Prayas is a club/lab management app — it handles member sign-in, projects, attendance, the idea board, and admin tools for roles and permissions. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.
We collect only what the app needs to run member accounts, projects, and admin features:

We do not collect precise location, contacts, SMS, or call-log data, and the app carries no advertising SDKs.
Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure: Cloud Firestore for your profile, projects, and records; Firebase Storage for images you upload; Firebase Authentication for your sign-in credentials. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own data-processing terms.
Access within the app is controlled by a role- and permission-based system — members only see what their role grants them, and only admins can view the full membership and admin tools.

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications about membership updates, project activity, and announcements. You can disable these at any time from your device's app notification settings.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at prayasbu@gmail.com or use our account deletion page — we'll action it within 30 days, except where records must be kept for legitimate administrative or legal reasons.
Prayas is intended for college/club members and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We rely on Firebase's security infrastructure, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and Firestore security rules to restrict data access by role. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above, and significant changes may also be announced in-app.
